among the rising stars in his creative community.
Gregario Rogelio Bracamonte
Award-winning artist Gregario Rogelion Bracamonte is a
celebrity in his own right. Celebrated throughout
Central America as one of the world's finest
pre-Columbian potters, Gregario has earned numerous
prestigious titles for his museum-quality creations.
Born into a family of potters in 1949, Gregario began
training alongside his father at the age of 12. Years
of commitment to his craft inspired Gregario to become
a teacher and mentor to the young artisans of San Juan
de Oriente — passing precious lessons learned along
the way from one generation to the next.
